BioLineRx (BLRX) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical development company dedicated to identifying, in-licensing and developing therapeutic candidates that have advantages over currently available therapies or that address unmet medical needs. Its current development and commercialization pipeline consists of a clinical-stage therapeutic candidate − BL-8040, a novel peptide for the treatment of multiple cancer and hematological indications; a near-clinical candidate – AGI-134, a recently acquired immuno-oncology agent in near-clinical development for solid tumors; and a product that is being commercialized − BL-5010, a customized, proprietary, pen-like applicator containing a novel, acidic, aqueous solution , which has been launched for sale in Europe as a medical device for the non-surgical removal of benign skin lesions. In addition, BioLineRx has five other therapeutic candidates in various stages of clinical and preclinical development. BioLineRx generate its pipeline by systematically identifying, rigorously validating and in-licensing therapeutic candidates that BioLineRx believe exhibit a relatively high probability of therapeutic and commercial success. To date, except for BL-5010, none of its therapeutic candidates have been approved for marketing or sold commercially. Its strategy includes commercializing its therapeutic candidates throughout-licensing arrangements with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. BioLineRx also evaluate, on a case-by-case basis, co-development and similar arrangements and the commercialization of its therapeutic candidates independently.

In December 2014, BioLineRx entered into a strategic collaboration with Novartis Pharma AG, or Novartis, for the co-development of selected Israeli-sourced novel drug candidates. Under the agreement, BioLineRx intend, in collaboration with Novartis, to co-develop a number of pre-clinical and early clinical therapeutic projects through clinical proof-of-concept for potential future licensing by Novartis. Additionally, in January 2016, BioLineRx entered into a collaboration with MSD, known as Merck in the United States and Canada, in the field of cancer immunotherapy and, in September 2016, BioLineRx entered into a collaboration with Genentech, Inc., or Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, to support several Phase 1b studies investigating BL-8040 in combination with Atezolizumab, Genentech’s anti-PDL1 cancer immunotherapy, in multiple cancer indications.

Its focus is on the therapeutic areas of oncology and immunology. However, BioLineRx may also in-license therapeutic compounds outside of these areas in connection with its strategic collaboration with Novartis, as well as to a limited extent for its independent pipeline as the opportunities arise.
