Company History
Iveda Solutions, Inc. began operations on January 24, 2005, under the name IntelaSight, Inc., a Washington corporation doing business as Iveda Solutions (“IntelaSight”). It started in a 250-square-foot office at Alma School Road and Southern Avenue in Mesa 20 years ago with a couple employees.
Starting out in 2003, the company was bringing surveillance systems into the 21st century by upgrading them from VHS tape recorders to cameras linked to networks and cloud storage.
One of the company's first customers and investors was Mesa businessman Joe Farnsworth of the real estate and home-building Farnsworth family.
In 2007, Intelasight changed its name to Iveda which means “see” in Italian.
In 2009, IntelaSight became a wholly-owned operating subsidiary of Iveda Corporation (formerly known as Charmed Homes, Inc.), a Nevada corporation, through a merger. All Company operations were conducted through IntelaSight until December 31, 2010, at which time IntelaSight merged with and into Iveda Corporation, which changed its name to Iveda Solutions, Inc.
In 2009 Iveda Solutions went Public through a Reverse Merger.
In 2011, Iveda officially marked its entry into the Asian market. Iveda acquired MEGAsys Taiwan , a company that designed and integrated electronic security and surveillance products, software, and services.
MEGAsys at that time had established relationships with key customers in Taiwan and neighboring countries including the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Taiwan’s International Airport, Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank among others. As of April 30, 2011, MegaSys is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
